というものではない rejects a simple rule of thumb: お金があれば幸せになれるというものではない, "having money doesn't automatically make you happy".
It very often follows ばいい or ば + a result: 高ければいいというものではない, "expensive doesn't automatically mean good"; 謝れば済むというものではない, "an apology doesn't settle everything".
It's the speaker's opinion that a common assumption is too simple. というものでもない softens it slightly: "it's not always the case, either".
It overlaps with とは限らない and わけではない. というものではない is especially good for arguing against an oversimplified attitude, such as thinking that more effort, money or speed automatically brings better results.
