すぎる means "too much": 飲みすぎた, "I drank too much"; 高すぎる, "too expensive".
- verbs: ます-stem + すぎる: 食べすぎる, 働きすぎる
- い-adjectives: drop い: 高すぎる, 難しすぎる (and いい → よすぎる)
- な-adjectives: add directly: 静かすぎる, 簡単すぎる
It's an ichidan verb, so it conjugates as one: すぎます, すぎた, すぎて. The て-form is common for a reason: 食べすぎて、お腹が痛い, "I ate too much and my stomach hurts".
The noun すぎ is also common: 飲みすぎ, "overdrinking"; 働きすぎだよ, "you're working too hard". It usually sounds like a complaint, so to praise something as very good, use とても instead.
